Houston has two seasons
one is hot the other hotter.
Only thing that gets cold here
is Galveston’s sea water.

I’m reading all these poems
about the beautiful change of leaves.
And the way they flit and flutter
in the cooling autumn breeze.

Well you can all just go to hell
as far as I’m concerned.
While I sit in this rush hour traffic
and get a damn sunburn.

We run around in shorts year round
praying for a cold front.
I’m sorry if you don’t sympathize
or think I’m being blunt.

But just once I’d like to see
a flake of newly fallen snow.
Or maybe just a drop in temp
to feel a cool wind blow.

But I guess its just the price you pay
for living in the south.
So I will sit and dream of fall
and kindly shut my mouth.

Love it, Lucie! LOL Here, the weather is 30 degrees or so and we're supposed to see some snow tonight...really.

Tell it like it is Lucie! ROFL!!

Don't feel all by yourself! We have two seasons here...warm and hot, with the occasional January freeze thrown in just to keep the weathermen drooling until the next hurricane season.

LOL! I'll take Minnesota, even with it's great piles of snow, anyday! Great work, though.

We only got two seasons here, too, Lucie....tourist and hurricane...both come with a lot of hot air. I relate to your situation.
