As I helped my little brother go to bed last night:
Before I tucked him in and turned out the light,
So humbly he said as he knelt beside his bed;
"May I say somethin different?" meekly bowing his head.

Two words, just two words, he so reverently said.
Not "Now I lay me," but two other words instead.
Just two things he needed to keep him all night,
'Twas "Jesus", just "Jesus" and "rest" till the morning light.
"Out of the mouth of babes", the wise one said.
Nor could I have petitioned my Lord any better instead.

As I put my little brother in his bed last night,
As I tucked him in and turned out the light,
'Twas "Jesus" he wanted to keep him through the night.
Just "Jesus" and "rest" till the morning light.

Out of the mouths of babes alright. How innocent and beautiful. Thanks for sharing that precious jewel/memory with us all!
