Hear me silver sister moon, Shining in the blue, If only I had wings to fly, I would fly to you. A beacon in the heavens, A mystical light for all to see, A warming and comforting torch, When the darkness hems in on me. A companion to the sailor, As he toils upon the sea, A glow in the curtain of night, When in your fully glory there is nothing more moving to see. You gently pull the oceans, And show them the way, Setting their courses daily, A firefly with which it plays. A bright light in the desert, A compass up so high, A guiding light on a mountain range, A ghostly galleon sailing the skies. A depth of beauty still virtually untold, A friend to man and beast, One single orb bathed in gold, A true miracle to say the least. I thankyou silver sister moon, For watching over all, For guiding countless journeys, I'll always listen for your call. |
