Memories flow as ocean's tide, As I recall the day love died, Looking through a mist of tears, Reflecting on too few the years. I feel the pain of loneliness, And fear the lance of neverness, To nevermore touch on the skies, As I gaze into your eyes. To never touch your silken hair, Nor tender kiss, our love to share, Two lives as one, was meant to be, Now one is gone, pain's misery. No spoken word shall heal the pain, For what is gone, shall not regain, For I have lost what was to be, All that remains, love's memory. [This message has been edited by Mike (edited 09-30-1999).] |

Mike Every love is different - time for a refill, my man. Nice cadence on the lines - I was at the end of the poem before I realized it. |

Beautiful work. Touched my heart. I felt the pain on every word. Like Sailor I was at the end of the poem before I knew it. |

So sad, I felt all your pain. Well done!! ------------------ What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny, compared to what lies within us. ~Isis~ |

Mike, although this poem is quite sad, every line is perfect in it's rhythm and rhyme....you've done very well on this one, of course, I come to expect nothing less from you ------------------ It is better to be silent and be considered a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. |

Simply exquisite, Mike - and as we move to each successive chapter in our lives, may we hold those past safely and securely within our hearts... |

Mike, Whatever could be said, was said, so I'll only say, Well done. |
