Christopher asked for one...and I wrote two....This first one is my humorous attempt. When will I learn? I’ve often wondered how to say, NO to those who challenge me. Every time they ask , I am there... Victim of “poetic embrace” Eventually, I will learn, Right after this fine task at hand. Counting time! Meter forms my hand. Onward! Upward! They have me say. Under breath ask...When will I learn? Luckily, there is time for me! Dodging bullets for this embrace. Willing now, I’m almost there. Awkward as I’m getting there, Lurking blisters form on my hand, Kicking myself, Hey! What embrace? Ask me what I’m trying to say. Wouldn’t help so don’t ask me! Angst and tears are what I will learn! Yet so much more I could learn From my adventure, “getting there.” Relief is forming now for me. Oh can’t I just once raise my hand? Might just get through this I say, And hold this work in warm embrace. Now longing for that warm embrace, I’ve set my goals and I will learn. Maybe next time I will not say... ”Put me down! Oh, yes! I am there!” Only now, my time is at hand. Say a little (big) prayer for me! Shortly, the words will falter me. I’m lost in “poetic embrace.” Be kind, this pen’s stuck in my hand! Let Go! Oh, will I never learn? Easy does it now…almost there! Take this pen! That’s what I would say. All smile with me! I may yet learn. See now? Embrace was always there. KERPLUNK! My hand! (What can I say?) [This message has been edited by Sally S. (edited 10-27-1999).] |

You made an acrostic from an entire sentence. Seems like an impossible task. Well done, Sally. |
