You Never Will Know Pain

You will never know the pain
a grieving heart can feel,
for you are never saddened
never have a wound to heal.
You can't feel compassion,
all emotion is unknown.
A seed of friendship planted
you destroy before it's grown.
Unconcerned for others,
there's no love that you would feed.
To live your life so shallow
it assures your every need.
Life will never do you harm.
You never will know pain,
for there is nothing you can lose.
But nothing will you gain.

Ohme: I see I'll have to keep an eye out for your material as I've enjoyed what few I've read. One word for this one: machine. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Seymour, for reading and replying.

Julie, Watcher, it is sad, do not understand why some people limit their life to so little.

Thanks Andrew. I have already been watching for your work! I enjoy it too.

Thanks, Munda, Verma. Sad thing is they don't know what they are missing!

Thanks all of you for your comments.

Maybe not pain, but most assuredly loneliness would find such a person. Very good poem, Ohme, I know some narcistics myself.
