Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 1999-10-01 08:09 PM

once asleep,
I awoke to find,
that I had feel asleep
and lost track of time,
You came to me through the darkness of the night,
I could see your eyes glowing as a light.
Your breath warmed my face,
Your touch took me far away from this place.
Am I dreaming? are you real? Is this you that I feel?
I have longed to hold you, to kiss your face,
to be held by your embrace.
Softly you kissed me, I felt your lips slowly touching mine,
Awakened by a dream,
Frozen somewhere in time.
If only I could hold you again,
and show you how I feel,
this fantasy would disappear,
and become real.

a lost love...........too bad wisdom often comes in hindsight.

Yes it was a lost love...Through death...I often think of him.

Thanks Denise! This one was a bit hard to write . He was the same age as I and died a year after graduation. So many times I think about him...he was a poet also.

I am very sorry for the loss of your friend, RH. You have penned a lovely poem in his honor. ((Hugs))
