Michelle sleeps her features cloudy and just the slightest trace of light where the fine hairs curled. Michelle sleeps receding into air that blows fragrance from the grass to recall how specks of sun colored her eyes. Michelle sleeps I see her smile only when the peach tree blooms in February. |

Martie, I think this is a beautiful poem. But I feel a sense of sorrow. |

Martie, the imagery in this piece was spellbinding. I am impressed. --K. ------------------ You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end. |

Thankyou all for your comments. Ohme, it is sad because it is about the death of a very special little girl who I was lucky enough to be the mother of for 8 years. Today is her birthday. She would be 34 now. |

I just want to hug you, Martie. I hope the peach blossoms still carry her smile this February. Alison |
