Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord, your soul to keep...
May angels watch you through the night -
As my arms long to hold you tight.
I command the demons all to flee -
In Jesus name - he sets you free.
Now close your eyes & trust in him,
This battle over darkness, win.
May God be near you - every night
May angels bring you peace tonight...
Don't cry my love - I'm here with you -
In dream, in soul, & spirit too.
God bless you now, as this I pray,
Your soul finds peace in love alway.

It seems my thirst for the Dark and my voyeuristic tendencies are both well-quenched in this same piece.

I wish much of the same for Michael, but would add that nightmares would be a welcome relief from my own limbo when I sleep.

As a side note, fear of intimacy is a very common thing especially for those having not yet met in the flesh. Indeed, cold feet can run quite fast. Insecurities tend to play a much larger role in communication than is commonly believed. I have noticed that poets tend to communicate better through their verse and are more able to with poetry than with spoken words.

Just a thought.

Thank you all ....(blushing) I know this is not my "normal" tone...however, I do believe in prayer and that God above knows what's in our hearts, and he does hear our prayers and sees our tears. Michael and I have spent much time talking about our beliefs - and it's interesting to know that we were brought up loving and believing in the same God...our faith is the same, as is our spiritual knowledge and understanding. That is just one more thing that makes us a close and loving couple. It makes all the difference in the world, when you share the love of God in your relationship....I have a rep for being "naughty" here in the forums, (blushing) but I believe that when shared with a spouse, romance and love can be the most awesome spiritual and physical experience ! I'll quite preaching now, but once again, thank you for receiving this poem like you have....It means alot to me that I can also share my spiritual beliefs with friends......**curtsies
