Brown streaked with silver,
My hair is all there.
The eyes, blue at times,
Stare out through the lines.

Blue jeans and flannel
I hang on my frame,
Black pointy toed boots
And a belt with my name.

Organic Chemistry I do as a PhD,
Still not afraid to get grease on a knee.
I treat all I know with equal respect,
From brick layer to Nobel Prize winners, I’ve met.

I’m teaching my children to hunt and to fish,
to cook, to sew, to clean up a dish.
I read poetry, play classical piano,
Stalk game, and hide in camo.

I’m a husband, a father, a man about town,
My wife will tell you: I act like a clown.
I look at myself, nothing special I see;
For after all...I’m really just me.

p.s. Yes, I do support a big handle-bar mustache.

Organic Chemistry??? Eeeks! For a while, I thought that course stood between me and my degree... in the end, it just slaughtered my GPA! LOL. Well done!
