Where have all my feelings gone?
Cold winds blasting.
Where have all my feelings gone?
Gone, gone away.

In my heart, no words can stir,
Those warmest feelings.
I do truely long for them.
Gone, gone away.

I am lost no one can find,
My deepest recess.
My heart is cold, alone to die.
Gone, gone away.

Heat they try to light anew,
A hopeless pass time.
Emotionless to any cue.
Gone, gone away.

I must face the barest truth,
Love's light passing.
Alone again to struggle through.
Gone, gone away.

This heart is cold, forever lost,
No time burning.
Turned to stone, no more to cry.
Gone, gone away.

How sad this is Marilyn. It seemed like a song that has played in my heart before. You really captured the mood of dispair.

Martie.....This is how I am feeling. I tried in several forms to express how I am feeling now. I failed and ranted in prose. Then I stumbled upon this and it just flowed from my mind and my heart.

Marilyn, I'm really sorry you are feeling this way. You have too many good qualities to give up hope. Please reconsider.

Very well done, Marilyn. Great expression of emptiness, of loosing those special feelings for someone. This says it all and very well.

My dear Balladeer. Hope I always have but reality is where I live. I shall always hope and dream but it the reality of love I wish to taste. I have forgotten how to feel my friend.

Denise..Thankyou.

Watcher.....I hope you are right my friend. The coldness is difficult to deal with. I am naturally a warm person and this nothingness I feel is depressing.

Hats off to you sistah for being real. This is a well written word. Your hope has been deferred and it has made you heart sick. For encouragement, I leave with you a piece from my favorite poet...David

Hope deferred makes the heart sick: but when the desire comes...it is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12

I,m speachless

i wish u all the happiness in the world

PS / when you have no faith in love
/ look for faith in God
/ God is love
God will never give to much that you may not bear, even when you feel like he is not there
Read the poem called footprints I do all the time, I have gone to three funerals in the past two years , my father , my grandfather and now this summer my uncle all which were dear to me .God has been there for me .he is there for you now.

Dan..thankyou for your kind words. I have a deep faith in God and it has gotten me through many rough times. This is something I just have to get through. Time is what I need I guess. Again thanks for you time and your comments.

Such a heartfelt piece!
Marilyn, I have no words of wisdom befitting, but I do hope you find the part of you that will make you feel warm again.

Reminds me of that old song "Where have all the cowboys gone" at the first, then turns into a wonderful and emotional work of art.

pepper...gosh how far back did you have to go to retrieve this? I was surprised to see it on page one again. Thankyou for taking the time to find it and comment.

Sparrow...It was written with the song "Where have all the flowers gone." in mind. I was having trouble putting my soul into words and when my mind happened on this song it flowed beautifully.

Marilyn,I know how your feeling. There was a time when I never thought I'd feel anything again. Give it time. That worked for me.

Ruth...Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Thankyou for being a friend.

Amy...Time is something I have given much of to this problem, years. I need to be able to trust and I do not know how to do that. I am always looking for the shoe to drop and I hold back. I wish to learn how to change that part of me.

Munda..thankyou for your kind words.

Verma.....I am glad that this touched you.

Alwye....Way too many people can relate to this piece. This says a lot about our society. This must change!

Well done Marilyn. I know this feeling of nothingless too, it's just not you and there is nothing you can do. Just try to see the beauty around you, in people, in nature, in life etc. This piece spoke of my own similar feelings in times past.
