Mirror, Cruel Mirror Speaker of the unspoken, Knower of the unknown, Your craft, it must be broken! Your picture, not my own. Mirror, hateful, wicked glass, I know thy cunning trick! Horse's nose, ears of an ass, Thy sorceries are sick! Must thou strike my spirit? Why dost thou bring me low? But no! I will not hear it! Beauty and truth are thy foe. For never dost thou respect What honest people see And never dost thou reflect What is reality. Thou preyest on people's fears. Willing tool of evil, From me thou shall not have tears; Beware thy upheaval! |

I like this very much...often the mirror is the only truthful friend (or enemy) that we have. ------------------ "Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage." -Billy Corgan- |

At last, somebody who will support my claims that I really am a lot prettier than that stupid mirror would lead me to believe. You've saved me from a world of doubt, ol' Stoner. Incidently, I really liked the way the poem flowed along, and the way you developed your theme. |
