I know that this love has been hard on you
And now, you have made your stand
As you turn away, my heart breaks in two
My love is in your hands

In my heart I knew, that you were the one
I was a fool blinded by love
But what can I do, the damage is done
The tears have just begun

Remember when you said you couldn't hurt me
You were so easy to believe
But now the sun won't shine, I will never be free
Now I live, just to grieve

Would you hold me tight, look into my soul
Listen close as my heart cries
After all is said and and all is done
This is my last Goodbye...

Don't know if this is your experience, but it is mine. This poem is true, but I was the one doing the hurting. Thank you for making me see that it is too late to be lovers, but not friends.
