The peace of God be with you
Forever and a day
As we live this wonderful life He gives
God helps us along the way

He knows that we are human
He made us after all
He's always there to love us
And forgive us when we fall

If we don't feel Him in our lives
It's not His fault at all
We haven't paid attention
And answered when He's called

He isn't there for just a few
Although that's what some think
He cares so much for each of us
That He gave Jesus as our link

If we think that God's against
A certain persons style
We must think that He thinks like us
And we're off by miles and miles

There's not a person on this earth
That He rejects - like us
If we could only be like him
And stop thinking WE'RE so much

We may think that we've got it
We know the buzz the best
But think about it carefully
'Cuz there just might be a test

Let's let each person on the earth
Decide their truths and doubts
Instead of shoving down their throats
What we have figured out

Everything we think we know
Is guesswork after all
It's only God who knows the truth
We'll find out when we're called

For someday when He takes us up
And lets us see the truth
The mystery of life revealed
Shall humble the best of sleuths

Until the time that we are called
To Heavens glorious gates
He made us captains of our lives
It's not left to the fates

And even if we stumble
Or sometimes loose our way
His love is unconditional
Today and EVERYDAY
