You are my best friend and always will be, We shared so many things on so many days I thank you for everything and choosing me We are so similar in our thinking ways. Too bad we live so many miles apart For it would be so wonderful and nice, Your being close would make my heart So happy and warm there is no price... When friendships come only once in awhile, And you my dear have come into my life Especially when you make me laugh or smile. It would be a thrill to be your loving wife! Looking foward to the next fifty years Of a devoted relationship filled with love. Knowingly this would last with no fears For God would watch over us from above. We have expressed our love to each other And this could go on forever I am sure, Wouldn't it be nice to be a father and mother? For marriage is sacred and surely will endure. So many things during our years on this earth Bringing up children and teaching them right We can together watch while I give birth Wouldn't that be a marvelous, glorious sight? We can share something that takes only two, So simple it seems but nature will help us! We can start as soon as we say "I do" For I am old-fashioned and this is a must. We'll promise to love, honor and obey Exchanging rings will not be amiss As couples do on their wedding day And then we will seal our vows with a kiss! Bravo to oldfashionedness. I am a twenty year old male in the Marines and I am proud to say that I am still a virgin. I plan on staying that way until I seal "MY" vows with a kiss. Keep your standards high. Don't let them fall. Your poem is great. Flows beautifully, rhyme and scheme are great. Keep up the great work. JFreak |
