The wildness lies Shallow in your soul But with a quickness it holds No living power. Chaos forms and proceeds In reverie it roams free And burns to capacity. Yet rejecting ancient ideas With disparate charity You hurl arched profanities Searching for a vested reason To understand Ideal’s vanity. And with the same Presence of mind I hope you will find That which lies before Insight denied. For church bells toll And bid you to union Of the listening soul. I would have you remember That which is explained Is only a vague impression Of a creation that flows. And that wildness in your soul Is solicitous to a scheme Where elders grow old While dreamers dream. |
