I recognize the curious intent Of those interim considerations That are there despite efforts to prevent The inevitable combination. For principle to the theory I propose Is that life holds options that are not held But converge as one, as I suppose And moral and conviction sometimes meld. I do not resist the more passive road That often comes with interim mistakes As life goals may shift, but do not erode, By relying on the road's turns and breaks. In gaining this relative perspective, I see the intent and not the objective. |
