trains

close my eyes to see the light
open my heart to feel what's right
by and by till i'm out of breath
and feel the rears at my death

can it be this way is true
for all i cared or ever knew
what do you see in my eyes
look deeper beyound the lies

the boxed emotions on the shelf
all at reach to be felt
when it all has stopped at this
what do i recall to miss

but the absence of your face
stricken from the human race
when all i do, is but to cry
next to pictures of you, i lie

can't remember our last touch
of what we cared about so much
twice and once and nevermore
beating down an open door

keep it so very close to you
for this love is for a fool

just leave me alone with the pain
i'll walk through the balckened rain
till either day or night remains
and be in silence of broken trains

fin...ash

Love is the essence of life. A beautiful poem that states the reality of seperation and the emotions that it brings. Its a scandal when a culture allows for greif and sorrow to be bottled up.

A very sad reality indeed.....
I'm just reading poetry in the archives tonight.
