All righty, Haskins... I've read this a couple of times now.. For a poem of only six lines, I count, in order: 1) personification, 2) simile, 3) metaphor, 4) metaphor, 5) personification, and 6) yet another personification... Thank you. I am interested in the compression of language; conveying a thought or evoking an image in as few words as possible.
