Butterflies’ Magic Dance Nights had grown cooler, days were still warm when the butterflies came with all their charm of orange and black, grand Monarchs galore, right up to the back of our kitchen door. In the backyard, among the cottonwood tall came one one-hundreds, then many more, all wanting to stay a night or two among the cottonwood’s leaves; the magic begun. I went outside to gaze in rapturous delight as the Monarchs danced in the early fall night before to the cottonwoods they would alight to rest among their thousands, wings folded upright. Oh, this amazing show, how it must magic be! and I could not hold the amazement within me, so I called and cajoled and everyone came to witness the magic of the butterflies game. A clap of the hands, a flutter of winging, now magic came from the children all singing as they wanted to watch the butterflies dance before night overtook this enchanted romance. ©KRJ 28 August, 1999 ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Great, Sunshine! I loved reading this one-I could see all the butterflies floating around. ![]() ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

It's always great when Nan puts in the art, and Pepper plugs the poem, Sy then adds his word or two... and then we can all go home... |

I stand in awe of a painting of words. It's beautiful and I could actually see them in my office. ------------------ Words lay dormant in the recesses of the mind til called forth to a labor of love. By WildChild |
