how is it that someone comes and shines a moonbeam into your heart? but it's only an eclipse the substance was given long ago to another someone who is radiant someone loved forever how is it that this vision of woman this goddess is not complete? you cannot compete if only echoes if only before or later than that time you lost before you even began ------------------ 'Only the shallow know themselves.' wonderful poem again, Severn. I hope to see much more of your work around here. I liked the arrangement of your poem on the page. It's the sort of thing that inspires me to write a critical essay on it! You know, the mechanics of poetry and how white space isolates a word and magnifies it? Wow, I'd better go away and write a poem on poetry! |
