O Turkey great shaken land for you do we weep but our tears are not as rich as the blood you have shed As your moon rises and your stars salute who will mourn? who will wail? Who is left to dig the cold graves of your dead? O Turkey great fallen land for you do we grieve as the lives of your children seep away in the mud The screams of the lost the anguish untold whose voices? whose terrors? Who is left upon your crushed landscape of death? Dear Turkey great wasted one sad beloved land: for you do we weep. |

Severn, this is such a good one! Very sad! Guess God just needed more souls in Heaven quickly! |

Well deVine always finds the good if there is any! It makes it seem a bit less painful....nice of you to write such a moving piece when the world needs it most....what a nightmare they have lived....I can't even imagine something like that happening here....chilling. Great piece...! ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |
