You've been gone so very long I've come to take you home I feel you coming closer now Across the skies you roam I watch your plane touching down A teardrop in my eye A thrill of joy runs through my soul You soon will be nearby I see you walking up the ramp I've missed you very much My arms out wide to hold you To feel your loving touch As you run to my embrace I kiss you eagerly My love is stronger every time That you return to me ------------------ Steven Seaman A burden shared is a burden lightened A life shared is a life enriched [This message has been edited by sea_of_okc (edited 08-25-99).] |

Nicely done, nice contrast to the "airport goodbye" ... physical absence doesn't change emotional commitment for some ... thanks for your prose [This message has been edited by traveler (edited 08-25-99).] |

Did you mean this as a sequel to "Airport Goodbyes"? I think this one is great! ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

'tis a lovely thing, this...I enjoyed it, and it is a sweet response to Airport Goodbyes. ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

Ah....OKC, somehow this passed me by....I read this and loved the warmth I felt....Great job in making that feeling come alive again..."I see you walking up the ramp..." LOVELY piece....me likes! Where've you been, by the way? ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |
