Dusk after Dusk
Through that rusted gate
Crawled a heartsick love
He knew only one passion.
She was his life, breath, heart.
His pure white, ivory, dove.
A mere bench in a forgotten garden
Was the point of their rendezvous
to which these two love's hearts collided
Sweet nothings whispered in the dew
Eyes and ears absorbing every detail
Two Souls in which everything was confided

He was her dream, reality, hope
Her every wish come true
A gentle gatekeeper of the treasure of her soul
She longed for him
He longed for her
Two halves that made a whole
A secret love, there is no sweeter
No tender and fulfilling love
than the one that is incognito
which shows all the lengths and depths,
the mountains climbed and oceans swum
The test of the true love between
A fair lady and an honorable fellow.

jfreak - I take a day or two to do some personal stuff - and you try to sneak this lovely gem by me - You can't escape my discerning eye that easily - I like this one -

Nay, if our wits run the Wild-Goose chase, I am done:
For thou hast more of the Wild-Goose in one of thy wits,
Than I am sure I have in my whole five.

Again, inspired by the timeless classic,
Les Miserables. This is about Cosette and Marius. I just wanted to write something about them. In my opinion one of the greatest couples in classic literature. Right next to Romeo and Juliet if not beyond them. That is just my opinion though. Thanks for your words.

I have been neglecting you my dear friend.
This was lovely, and your painting with words has come a long ways since last year.

Thank you all for your inspiring words. Izzy what are you talking about, "I've come so far since last year"? What is that about? I just ask b/c I don't recall getting any critical critques from you. But Thanks anyway. I hope I have grown. I was getting a little discouraged with this one b/c I took several days before anyone commented and I thought that I had done really well with this poem. I guess patience is a virtue though. Again thank you all for your kind words.

Hey there my angel,

How dare you change your name on me. Then not reveal to me your secret identity. You know I love your stuff. Well I will definately be looking for you more. I was wondering why I hadn't seen you on here. Now I know. I was like, I guess she didn't defect with the rest of us. But now the mystery is complete and I know what you mean by the growth now. You knew my work when I was first really branching out. The compliment is even greater now. Thank you.

An extreamly romantic poetic piece you've done here. I really enjoyed it, thanks so much for sharing.
