A friend of mine sent this to me today....thought you would enjoy...

Every evening
As I'm laying here in bed
This tiny little prayer
Keeps running through my head

God bless my Mom and Dad,
And bless my little pup,
And look out for my brother
When things aren't looking up.

And God, there's one more thing
I wish That you could do,
Hope you don't mind me asking,
But please bless my computer too?

Now I know that's not normal,
To bless a mother board,
But just listen just a second,
While I explain to you 'Dear Lord'

You see, that little metal box,
Holds more to me than odds and ends,
Inside those small compartments,
Rest a hundred of my 'Best Friends'

Some it's true I've never seen,
And most I've never met,
We've never exchanged hugs,
Or shared a meal as yet.

I know for sure they like me,
But the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal,
Is how I travel to where they live.

By faith is how I know them,
Much the same as you,
I share in what life brings them,
From that our friendship grew.

'Please' Take an extra minute,
From your duties up above,
To bless this scrap of metal,
That's filled with so much love!

This is so sweet! I guess the next time my computer goes down, I will remember this poem and not take the Lord's name in vain! I want him to bless my computer too! Thanks Toerag!

Lorelei....I am resting! Can't ya see I haven't written a single, "hard thought out dirty poem about LongJohn?" I'm at work, can't teach, but I can grade and tutor and such....go back to my class room duties next week.....if this ugly head of mine quits throbbing that is.....They gave me a million demerols that I won't take except when I go to bed....so I just have to grin and bear it for a while....it really just feels like a toothache from hell......

Poet-D....it is a sweet poem/prayer isn't it.....Thanks....wish I'd written it!

But...don't you have some sick leave? Or would you rather be sitting there with a headache?

Lorelei...Yea I do have a little sick leave, not much....Ya gotta remember, I've only been here for a short time...and I've had to take a good bit of time off already....and, I'd rather sit here with a headache, then at my cousin's house with a headache watching Judge Judy and soap operas....LOL

Toerag: I love this! *S* As much as I gripe and complain about its pokiness, my computer is my link to some of the best friends I've ever had... Maybe I should be kinder to it? *G*

As for you... I wouldn't wish the boredom of daytime TV on anyone, sweets... but take it easy and take care of you... And give LJA a few minutes warning when you finish "resting." *G*
