the taste of blood on my tongue
from sharp words that i swallow
it feels good to feel bad
it feels good when I wallow

it feels good to feel pity
if its directed within
there's nothing like self loathing
helps me pick up the pen

inspiration can be found
inside this familiar place
when there is nothing but hurt
there is nothing to face

its all wrapped up quite neatly
inside how deep it is sad
and it's not difficult to say
it feels good to feel bad

How totally true walt! The second stanza especially rings of truth. You are fantastic when you're Dark. I wish you would step into the shadows more often.

walt you have truly captured the essence that allows many of us to write that which we do, me especially. i find that i write my best stuff when there is anger welling inside of me, or when i am caught up in the throuhs of depression. very well done sir.
