Closing in on Forty I look in the mirror and what do I see An older, tired version of me More gray hair, a new wrinkle or three Stiff joints in the morning and oh when it rains These knees of mine can scream with pain Arthritic fingers so inflamed Whatever happened to aging with grace A softer, kinder woman's face There now are crow's feet in its place I thought I was keeping this at bay I used those face creams every day! I see now, age will have its way I'm sure its not important though That if my hair turns white as snow Or my eyes have lines etched all below I can color my hair up in a flash My eyes still sparkle when I laugh And youth, it wasn't made to last When I get ready to go to sleep And ask the Lord my soul to keep One more request from my mouth leaps "Please just let me keep my teeth!" caroline all rights reserved ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

I realy enjoyed this. it was good for a laugh. its funny how age crawls up on us and attacks. old age I cannot see I cannot pee I cannot chew I cannot screw My memory shrinks My hearing stinks No sense of smell I look likde Hell My body's drooping got trouble pooping So the golden years have come at last? well, the golden years can KISS MY A** |

Caroline: Like PDV, I see 40 only in my rear view mirror! LOL. Reading glasses Cracking knees One flight of stairs I start to wheeze. Sometimes it's hard Each day to live But it sure beats The alternative! Thanks for the grins, Caroline and wordweaver! |

To be forty once again I'd cheer as to fifty I'm drawing near! Old age, old age, sand through a sieve, 'course, it's better than the alternative! ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

The older you are the wiser you are, but the weaker you are. I think I would rather be my grey 52 than a silly youth. Still, better people than us have grown old, and have complained. Enthropy works for us all. |

I think we have to laugh as we get older...otherwise we will just get old. I for one intend to die laughing! The only way to go! I started finding grey hairs at age 22...but isn't that why they make haircolor? Now I'm letting the grey ones shine...I earned them all! ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |
