I called you my hero and that gave you pause. You feared I'd be disappointed because You are simply a man, gentle and kind... My love, don't you know how hard that is to find? With courage unequaled, you've risked your own life, Did what you must though your years have been rife With regrets, confusion, with tears you've not shed. Hero status never entered your head. Your pain you conceal by wearing your smiles. For friends you would gladly go many a mile With wallet wide open, with goodness to share, With never a hint of sorrows you bear. All that makes a hero, at least in my book. It's shining through you, if we care to look. God's finest creation, you're all that is right - Heroes don't always wear spandex tights! |

This is great! Is this hero real or imagined! If he is real, I want his address! ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Toerag: Hilfiger or Fruit of the Loom will do quite nicely! LOL. Thanks, sweetie... Seymour: I can understand that! *S* I didn't think they made men like my Dad anymore... certainly never dreamed I'd meet one even finer... I'm one lucky lady! *S* |

LJA: ROFLMAO!!! Thanks, pal... I needed that! *G* Now hush... you have Lor to sing your praises! LOL. And though I may have used more than a few rather descriptive terms when talking about you, I don't remember EVER thinking "heroic" and "LongJohn" in the same breath! LOL |

I certainly understand, due to your association with Toerag, that it is very difficult to be able to express your feelings for me in such a way he won't be hurt. Hiding it in this poem is brilliant! He'll never know!!! Thank you, Suthern. |

Balladeer: Such humility! LOL. You give me credit for guile (and feelings) I don't have... *G* However... I can see that I'm missing a golden opportunity here to see all you pretenders in tights!!! LOL. So... on with it!!! A little fashion show to liven up this long afternoon? *G* Who'll be first? LJA or Balladeer??? Ladies, get your dollars ready! *G* |
