When I Get Old |

Here's a list of all the things I'll do when I get old. I'll wear galoshes in July And short pants in the cold. I'll eat soup with my fingers, I'll cross against the light. I'll play leap frog every morning And somersault all night. I'll walk up to perfect strangers And give them each a dime, And I'll do nothing useful- I simply won't have time. I'll laugh to see the snow fall. I'll sing songs to the sun, And I'll never say, "Please tell Me what to do" to anyone. Words like "I regret," "I'm sorry" Will have no place on my tongue. And I'll never say "I mustn't" The way I did when I was young. |
