Would things of spring seem quite as nice Without harsh winter's wind and ice; Without the summer's sultry air Would spring seem even half as fair? If rainy days were never here Would still the fair ones seem as clear; If skies above were never gray Could azure steal my heart away? Would joy still swell my heart the same If sorrow never knew my name; If pain had never stayed the night Would times more kind appear as light? High mountain peaks and canyons grand Both speak His mighty awesome hand; The desert sands, the oceans blue Each cast, uniquely, heaven's hue. g |

Thank you Swan! I'll be looking for more of your work. You seem quite talented from the posting of today. I'm new to the Web, so I'm not too familiar with all this, but I'm learning. |

Very true, d. You have phrased it well-you have a gift! I love your poems! ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

Now this is poetry ... powerful message, artfully stated. I am impressed, and very glad you shared this inspiration. ------------------ "Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, morierus" (Now as I hear this bell tolling softly for another, it says to me, "Thou must die.") |
