Transfixed Transfixed in the lights illusion And eyes on dreamy space, I watched the dust like amber snow, Descend upon her face. Her features fixed like marble, Lay steady, still and cold. Emanating waves of heat, That seared my very soul. When the cloak of night wrap round And truth did stalk about. Not a sprig of peace would near, To guide me safely out. My tears became an ocean My sighs became a storm. And raged and raged within me, I could not come to norm. Now I am a captive ship, Complete in her domain and Only when I reach surcease, Will the links of why unchain. |
