The vacuum In the middle of my living room, Stands a vacuum, a cleaning broom. And I eye it with a jaundice eye, It sets my mood and brings a sigh. An instrument of dismay, The vexation of my day. A symbol and a modern bust, Its function is exhuming dust. It stands in wait till pressed to life, Almost like my gorgeous wife. But when its up and runs about, By God you better watch out. |

Hey Sy, Perhaps your neighbor could use that vacuum to "exterminate" dust??  It's a great poem, I just wonder why you dislike vacuuming. LOL....I don't mind it...much....ok, I admit it. Vacuums suck.  |
