Sober decant I savor words with fits of aim. And target each with blameless blame. Bring to life some phrase or praise To suit this peripatetic maze. Ponder abstracts crave and comb Hone it into tender loam Pray the words are not illusive But enough to be conclusive. Toss each line into the air Listen how the echoes fair. Ring it like you test a bell, Try to hear each sound each swell. Venture to rid it of explain, Just make it simple and humane. Filter it through the cloth of need And bring it to a fruitful deed. A modest poem my arrows aim Yet each I fly goes down in flame. |

Tossing the words up and hoping they land in some sort of order... I think you've just described my writing style! LOL |
