With heavy heart and feet of lead I have to leave you now With tearful eyes and hanging head I really have to go I'll miss you so, and you'll forget That I was ever here You will not cry, you will not fret When I'm no longer near Life will be without affection No poems, no mail, no chums AND - no Internet connection! I have to go to Mum's. But I'll be back in a couple of weeks! |

Duty calls. You might call it a vacation, I call it two weeks of being dead - I love my mother dearly, but after the first hour I'm afraid I run out of things to say, and there is nothing else to do. If I read or write she tells me I'm being antisocial. And think of all those poems I will never have the time to catch up on! |

I've got one, but mother hates my using it - it's all I can do to check my mail before she starts objecting. I don't see her that often, and she is very old, so I bear with her. |

Sue, make the best of your vacation...perhaps approach things from a different perspective...cherish the time with your mother  |
