In the beginning
when it was just you,
when all we wanted
was just us two.
You had a sense of humor,
and sadness was few.
We were harmonious with the other,
We never said,..."Why bother."
Your beauty came from inside to out
Your eyes were like a warm blanket
on a cold night 'bout.
Your skin was dark,
and strong too,
It was then I knew
there could only be you.
Your touch to mine
was glorious indeed,
For it is this I hold
and I am freed.
