Captivating my whole
You stepped through a door
Never opened
Never found
Walking lightly into my heart
You bore burdens
That have no consequence
With me
Here you are
Ever burning, ever-glowing
Filling the emptiness
That once threatened to consume me
I can’t help but want you
I can’t help but need you
So I throw practicality away
And fall senselessly in love
Three small words
So simple
So deep
At the root of who I am
At the root of who you are
At the root of who we will be
As I love you
eternally
