the captive heart Inside these walls around my heart is still and dead, silent and dark Doors are locked up fierce and tight there is no sound this time of night I stare up at the brooding moon the distant stars cant fight the gloom inside the glacial, bitter cold passion sleeps within the soul Emotion’s beast roams through these halls inside my heart, inside these walls Seeking comfort, craving touch and never finding quie enough Inside these walls, pain still attacks a thousand memories fade to black Silence rules the remnants of this captive heart, untouched by love ------------------ ~tamlyn |

Nice imagery - particularly in the second stanza.... ------------------ Nay, if our wits run the Wild-Goose chase, I am done: For thou hast more of the Wild-Goose in one of thy wits, Than I am sure I have in my whole five. ~ ²1592 Wm. Shakespeare ~ Romeo & Juliet ~ ii. iv. 75 |

I love it; good flow, good imagery, good poem. |
