Do you remember the age of exploration?
When kids would sneak unto the deck?
The winds and ships moved in the same direction
And helped each other on their trek
When boundaries were broken day by day
And there was so much to discover
When ships would slowly leave the bay
The sleepless seagulls would always holler
When doubtfulness would dare and mock
The ones who always looked so brave
And as the captain raised the flag
The ships were named Hope, Love and Faith
Do you remember how it started?
When men were driven by the treasure
By gold and silver left unguarded
And most would crumble under pressure
The waves would swallow almost all
Consuming those who smelled like fear
The hungry ocean honored soul
And ran with those who wouldn’t steer
Back then so much was still unknown
And it was covered by thin air
Back then, in seconds, knowledge grown
And stripped the world completely bare
I choose not to believe that everything was found
In me, Hope, Love and Faith evoked
And I still dream of walking on the ground
On which no one has walked
