Last night I dreamt in color Of dark gray sky with scars Left by the fallen stars Which landed in my hand And turned into a flower And blossomed on my land Her petals moist with dew I could not help but stare Her fragrance filled the air The flower reached for light She looked so real and true Her beauty seized my sight I could not turn my head I could not get enough I knew I was in love I sat there on my porch And she was all I had The flower let me watch The flower let me touch The flower let me tame I gave her a new name And I would call her Rose She liked the name so much For me she’d strike a pose She loved to be admired It gave her purpose to exist She’d dress up in the mist It kept her warm like fur And all that I desired Was to remain with her Last night I dreamt in color I woke up from the sun My Rose was long time gone Although I held her tight My love could not restrain a flower What dreams may come tonight! ------------------ I fell in love and kept on falling |

I'm glad you liked it. I wrote this poem when I was only 13, but it still is one of my favorites. ------------------ I fell in love and kept on falling |
