Crystal Springs Road Where do you go to find inspiration and come back with a sensation of overwhelming Godliness sublime; I go to that place many times. There is a road not far from here, Crystal Springs Road, its name is not known for wars or to be feared but to me the beauty is quite famous. No matter the season nor the weather clime, no matter whether daylight or nighttime, the trees form a bower and nature’s delight, always a new and interesting sight. The fog shifts silently on early cool mornings, birds swiftly fly from branch to tree; Look, look fast, and you will see deer fleeting, rabbits darting, birds soaring. Winter is the finest, sometimes no contest when the whitest of white snow covers trees from branch to trunk, there’s simply no where else I’d rather go. In the ditches on either side of the road runs the waters from Crystal Springs, never dry, always sustaining life and somehow, by name, happiness brings. Somehow this road brings to present the past and I know that families grew and did last from this constant trickling water’s source and His Plan stayed right on course. 18 August, 1999 ©KRJ ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |
