Lost Hope ~~~~~~~~~ In the beginning and the end where past and future bend I found the shining light that gave the strength to fight Batherd in light's embrace while shrouded in dark discrace I finally found my angel the last of a dying race But for every angel of the future a thousand demons of the past are born ying and yang collide and the fabric of time is torn I am to be the victim of the ghastly banshee's scream all hope for me is ripped away for the light was just a dream Encompassed in the silence now with a thousand voices in my head bring me to the brink and then my angel's dead Listening in the emptiness with tons of time to kill 'cause until the light comes back time it just stands still In the beginning and the end where past and future bend I found the shining light that gave the strength to fight Hope was given as a gift and taken just the same for any hope held tightly is a hope that's held in vein. ------------------ Wish in one hand, then defecate in the other and see which one fills up first. --DarkChiild-- |

Very powerful piece - I like the way it flows with your style of rhyme..."falls" nicely down the page as I read it...good work! ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

You've got some pretty strong imagery going here, Dark one..... I shall continue to read and enjoy.... ------------------ Nay, if our wits run the Wild-Goose chase, I am done: For thou hast more of the Wild-Goose in one of thy wits, Than I am sure I have in my whole five. ~ ²1592 Wm. Shakespeare ~ Romeo & Juliet ~ ii. iv. 75 |
