How Can I?

How can I make you understand,
That I love you as I love no other man,
That I would leave him if I could,
But he's been good to me.

How can I make you comprehend,
That I need you as only a woman can,
That I would tell him if I could,
But he's been good to me.

And if I could, would you leave her too?
Is that what you want me to do?
And how can I trust you'll be true?
Again, he's been good to me.

There's a lot of emotion bottled up in this little piece - applause. Unfortunately, I've been on the wrong end of this situation too many time to offer any good advice.
