I've loved you since the time I was born in the middle of a star-crossed night full moon in flight through the skies your image painted behind my eyes waiting for the day the mirror appeared and your reflection looked back at me call it destiny… Time floated down upon rivers of laughter sailed upon oceans of tears navigating its way through the years following a chart to your heart, captained by fate toward the impending date written in gold upon my soul, a diamond day came our way... Unprepared for the depth of this love fortune bestowed upon us at last we reached an impasse, we couldn't see the grace we'd been given that would set us free to let our lives intertwine two hearts blended, yours and mine and time stood still… In silence we tried to deny the decree written before our births transpired euphoria retired replaced by grief spiraling down as an autumn leaf A season over before it began a perfect plan covered with winter hardened by pain… We denied ourselves the pleasure of a soft embrace, face to face meeting of lips, kiss to kiss just a wish, a sky-drawn scheme a lover's dream never played upon the stage the stars made the curtain fell… Yet we dance again cheek to cheek time brings us 'round once again we seek the love we can't forget forever in destiny's debt, to pay connected souls will find a way we'll meet as stars linger sweet we can't forget caroline all rights reserved ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |
