Happiness

Together, we created two beautiful children.
The best of both of us resides in them.
They have our passion, my independence, and your humor.
How is it that we can build life from nothing?
But we can’t build a marriage?
Why can’t we get it right?
It’s not for lack of trying.
For six years, we’ve tried.
For six years, we’ve failed.
Now, at last, we both have the chance to be happy.
Separately.
We could never be happy together.

I can see that you are going through a rough patch Tara....(hugs)

I liked the song...

The final ruin comes from within." Amelia E. Barr

Out of a negative experience came two positives...rejoice and find strength in that. (Ptooey on the dumb booger, I say : ) hope I'm not too out of line)

I wrote this last fall after my husband and I separated. The rough patch is over now, I am happily living a single life. So, no Terri, you are not out of line. :-)
