Spring cleaning of my mind, no matter what the season Just needs it sometime, without thought or without reason. A little bit of soap, perhaps a mop and maybe a broom, To clean up all the dirt, so I can make some room. Room for improvement by fixing up the broken gutters, Different views to replace the old and worn shutters. New emotions, nothing like a fresh coat of paint, Polishing the fixtures, shining what's permanent-what remains. A new outlook on life, by opening windows to let air in, So my soul and mind are bright, so I can LIVE again. The new is very exciting, but the old is always true. And finding something better, sometimes is impossible to do. I think I'll keep mine looking good, by taking care of what I have. Mine looks better since I cleaned it, doesn't look that bad!! Very good! Could you clean my mind now? I've so much stuff up there I talk to myself - what's that you say? There's another reason for that? Oh, ok...... Welcome! [This message has been edited by Poet deVine (edited 08-14-99).] |

Hello CG - Welcome to the Forums.... Nice to have you here - I really enjoyed the extended metaphor of this piece... A very nice job indeed.... ------------------ Nay, if our wits run the Wild-Goose chase, I am done: For thou hast more of the Wild-Goose in one of thy wits, Than I am sure I have in my whole five. ~ ²1592 Wm. Shakespeare ~ Romeo & Juliet ~ ii. iv. 75 |
