So fine is this life
So much peace at hand
The past full of strife
Gone to that other land

So deep within my mind
Buried forever,and it seems
I'll leave it all behind
Soaring on wings of dreams

Waiting in there to pounce
On this little-suspecting soul
From that land they'll bound
To assault the very goal....

Of keeping them at rest
Beyond the mind's locked door
Belaying the never-ending quest
Of soothing heart's inner core

This gentle contentment must be
The source of blessed repose
Embedding it away from me
Ever keeping the woe enclosed

The peace in this heart
Will always be the key
For locking away the part
Nightly the bane of me...

Thank you Alwye.....and do all of you know the source of this poem? Night-terrors,nightmares,memory-dreams..........I do thank the heavens for the peace in my heart that CAN hold these at bay at last.

One thing I am curious about: Is there a 'kind' of poem that has the same COUNT in each sentence? As in this one,I find I often write the exact number of words in each line!
It surprises me every time.
