They tell me I may be dying,
I really cannot complain
I had two parents that loved me (most of the time)
I've found satisfaction few will attain.

I've brought life into this world,
I've taken life away too
The first was truly a blessing,
Hope the second never happens to you.

I've gained wealth with money,
I can purchase material things,
Can't take any with me
Nor the pleasures they supposedly bring.

I've seen my children grow healthy
Their laughter and joys and tears
God they grew up so quickly!
What's happened to all of the years?

True wealth is not counted in money,
It's not what you have in the banks,
The laughter and love of friends and family,
For this wealth I truly give thanks.

Toe...such a serious topic..I pray it's not true,
You bring so much laughter into our life,
Without it, LJA would be so blue.
So cheer up our friend,
And know we are here .

To say "wonderful" when something breaks my heart doesn't seem quite right.... but your poem is truly wonderful. As are you, dear friend. Thank you for blessing my life and enriching it beyond measure.

Yes it's true,
But I pray not,
Still no prognosis,
But I pray alot.

I've truly enjoyed my short time here
I hope I've not offended
But sometimes I fear
I know I "Cross the line" a bunch,
It's not my intention,
Just go crazy and such.

I guess I could blame,
A tumor and health
But I've always been this way,
So what the hell?

Your words so kind,
Wish I had your expertise,
Cuz nowhere else would ya find
A place such as this.

We are and have made
a web of words and thoughts
you, our friends and I
of rainbow coloured recollections
from the day we all met
and as our days go drifting by
every thread a memory
some bright, and some
meant we shared our tears
(mine actually, typical brit)
wider grows this web of friendship
from the time we met last year
sorrows shared and joys remembered
as they touch and interwine
worked into the weaving
of this intricate design
hopes confided, griefs divided
these things go to make
the lovely pattern of the web
that time can never break..

So many people love you Toe..

Geesch! I don't want to bring sadness here.....Yall know me better than that! Okay, How 'bout this;

You've all heard the phrase,
"The Fickle Finger of Fate"
It points to us all,
Some sooner, some late.

But for a Toerag,
It's said appropriately;
The phrase now changed to;
"Dangling Dick of Destiny!"

Hey Toe, I wasn't being sad
a little thoughtful
even a wicked thought or two
at you being Jack the Lad....

Ooops...now there's another name...*sigh*..LOL

Great thoughts, true friends
Shared tears, side-splitting laughs
Many a prayer goes up this night
On Toerag's... AND our... behalf!
Now I'll follow my master's teachings
And finish with a smile
Mosey on over and dangle, my love
This "thought's" gonna take a while! *G*

Sometimes life gives us roses
Sometimes life gives us thorns
It's up to find the joy in both
And this, dear Toe, you have done!

I know you will live each day to the fullest
And if you must this world,
You will leave a rich man
Because you have given so much of youself here

Your fame will always go on.

Can something be sad and positive at the same time? You have hit it on the head Toe, friends and family, it's who we have, not always what we have.
I am sorry to hear of your battle, In my prayers you will be.

Ain't gonna listen to no talk about checking out. You ain't getting away from Wheel and me that easy! We've had so much fun whompin' you, we'll give organs to keep ya going and don't ya forget it!!
You think I'm being coarse cracking jokes about your condition? Let me say this. SOmetimes, you gotta laugh to keep the sadness away...and the saddest day of all would be the day you....a man I've come to respect, admire, and am proud to call a friend....didn't come around any more. SO don't even consider it, ya hear?

And, if you want to dangle something....make it a participle.
