It always takes two
Lightening and rain
To create a spectacular thunder

It always takes two
To make a couple
And three to tear it asunder.

It always takes two,
A child and God
To teach an adult to pray.

It always takes two,
Morning and night
To create one whole day.

It always takes two
To start a fight
That then becomes a war.

It always takes two
Any two at all
To know what we're fighting for.

It always takes two
A reader and poet
To put magic in what we write

It always takes two
Just you and me
To do what we think is right.

I have a feeling you're gonna get rave reviews on this one, dear! I love the rhyme and the way it flows...quite different. It makes reading more pleasant...like it pulls the reader on down the page with ease. Fabulous work and such earthy content that evokes many thoughts....

This is excellent - I love the way it flows, and I have to say I agree with all of it! I love the 3rd verse.

This was written as a challenge (us the phrase 'it always takes two'). I wrote it at work - don't tell my boss! I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.
