[Response to a challenge from Sweet T] Simply sitting, merely working without a care or woe sat sweet Elizabeth, smiling lightly, little did she know that through the door would come a man with such an evil grin, a grin that would easily do our sweet Elizabeth in. When her green eyes met his so brown and she saw the twist of his lips sublime she felt as if she had been lifted up from down and suddenly it stopped still, did time. The love struck woman sat as if in a trance while with his lips his words did dance and she felt as drawn as a moth to a flame lo, never again would she be the same. How easy to forget life’s rules and morals while his lips sang a heart-felt chorus of “come to me, come to me my Elizabeth so sweet” oh the horror of her rushing, frantic feet. In his arms she felt so womanly and giddy true while he plied her with love the way connivers do. When it was over, he was honest you bet and said “I don’t think my wife you’ve met.” Oh, the horror and shame she felt, her being simply drowned within her sorrow and her fear of being known around town as the Love Struck Woman, now on the verge of insanity and he had undone her, had unsprung her, with such simplicity. But play her he did, not once, not twice, but more while she unwillingly, and easily, would enter through his door of ill repute, this damned rascal’s den of sweet iniquity, for on the verge of insanity she could well and just be pitied. “Oh Elizabeth dear, your pills are here, now come and take them all” the voice of the matron pleads to her kindly, as Elizabeth climbs the wall. “The terrible memories will soon fade way” the matron spoke so gently As Elizabeth, the Love Struck Woman, danced on the verge of her insanity. 11 August, 1999 ©KRJ ------------------ © KRJ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Sunshine, I mean not too bash the man folk around here but, too often this story is the case. I feel for "our" dear Elizabeth and wish she would understand you have to check for a ring or ask the question before you do anything!!!! blueloon |

Thanks, blueloon, for your comments, although believe it or not, this was NOT intended for any of the male persuasion that we have come to know too well in the past few days. Seymour, a big TU back to you as well for your kind words. I hope I can keep you well entertained! ------------------ © KRJ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Sunshine, wonderful work. I truly enjoyed it. So very sad, and all too often the case.. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "Your kiss upon my face feels like a brush with grace, baby thats all it takes to take me higher..." SHeDaisy |
