I watch the flow of ink across the paper
so even like the beating of my heart.
The way the loops on my letters seem to flow
reminds me how our love first got its start.

So calm were the moments we spent together,
so sweet were the words that you would say.
So equal was the love we gave each other
until the day you turned and walked away.

For months I tried to punish by not writing
and visits to you were few and far between.
The wound in my heart that you had given
reflected in my eyes a pain you’d never seen.

Time after time I tried to find another
someone else that could make my heart feel love.
But every time their hands caressed my body
my heart would tell me it was not enough.

Soon my mind came to the realization
that without my love I really had no life.
So 13 months after you were taken
I stood before the judge and became your wife.

Now 7 months have passed since January
and the time is growing closer till we see.
If all the prayers that I have sent to heaven
will be answered and they’ll send you home to me.

So as I watch the ink flow across the pages
and the letters that I write to you are sent.
And as I await another weekend visit
I cherish every moment with you I’ve spent.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL GOOD THERAPY. LUCIE U KNOW JUST WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT & THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS.

KEEP THAT INK FLOWIN ACROSS THE PAPER GURL, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT. WISH I COULD REPLY WITH SOMETHING POETIC BUT U KNOW I JUST DON'T HAVE IT IN ME. I JUST LOVE READIN EM THO.

You're in the right frame of mind, Lucie girl. Keep that pen moving and the time will go by faster until the day you can put pen and paper aside and make poetry without writing a thing.
